Poetry Slam Respect the Mic

If you never been to a Poetry Slam then you are missing the most exciting event in your lifetime. Some of the most beautiful words come the mouths of butterflies. You can see what feeling and the passion that most anyone can know. Life as new meaning when you enter a Poetry Slam. Tuesday night at the Wine Up Lounge was Respect the Mic team had the finial slam for the season. Will give you the updates on how won to make the team. Charlotte happen to have two team to represent the city Respect the Mic and Slam Charlotte. Who will bring it home this year???

In April 2003, Poetry Slam Inc. voted to start a new event: the Individual World Poetry Slam Championship. The idea was to pull 60 poets from both certified poetry slam venues around the world and individual poets not affiliated with any certified venues (storm poets). These poets would compete in a format similar to the National Poetry Slam, going through two preliminary competitions, a semi-final and a final competition that would declare who was THE number one poet in the world.
