5th teams up with Microsoft!!

What’s up friends of 5th. We hope everyone is having a healthy and happy start to 2010. We would first like to thank everyone for your support in 2009. It was a great year for us and it is all because our friends gave us the support we needed to show Charlotte and the surrounding areas that smooth jazz is alive and well in the southeast!

We were very busy in 09 with the release of our first project “Nascentum” and touring the southeast to promote the album. Now that we have world wide digital distribution it is time to kick things into high gear, and that is where we need your help. You can help support 5th this week in two ways…

We are excited to announce that one of our songs from the “Nascentum” album has been selected out of thousands of submissions to be added to Playlist 7 as a contender to be a featured artist on their site. Playlist 7 is venture piloted by Windows (yes, Bill Gates and the boys) to spotlight new artists. Each week 50 artists are chosen as contenders to be featured artists. Music lovers can download their favorite tracks which count as votes. Starting Monday, February 1st we need all of our friends to go to http://www.facebook.com/l/52dcd;www.reverbnation.com/playlist7 and download our newest release from the Nascentum project, “Miss Lady”. It’s quick, its easy and best of all it’s totally free!!! We will be a contender for one week only (February 1st to February 8th) and then the results are tallied and the 7 artists with the highest votes (downloads) are featured the following week. Please support 5th this week by going to the site and downloading “Miss Lady”.
You can also support the band by clicking on the “My Band” tab from our Facebook page and then signing up to join our mailing list from that site. Joining our email list will allow you to download “Through the Night”, a track from the “Nascentum” album for free. We use the fan club email list to send out the occasional web blast with updates about the band, performances and events.
