Green The Block Celebrates Earth Day in Charlotte
National green campaign is set to serve up service, highlight healthy living, and green initiatives to the community on April 23rd

Charlotte, NC –Concrete2Green in conjunction with The Green Pages USA and The Hip Hop Caucus will host community event to commemorate Earth Day including a block party as a part of the Green The Block campaign on April 23rd in Charlotte. On Friday, April 23rd a rally & freestyle/celebrity soccer exhibition will kick off the weekend events at The Concrete2Green Center with Special Guests Rev. Lennox Yearwood, President of the Hip Hop Caucus, D. Woods (formally of Danity Kane), Atlantic Recording Artist Lupe Fiasco and other state & local officials, and hosted by “Mr. Magnificent” Special Ed at the Concrete2Green Futsal Center inside Eastland Mall.

Friday, April 23rd, 5-8 p.m. at the Concrete2Green Futsal Center (inside Eastland Mall)

• Youth Clinic & Exhibitors
• Green Job Training Fair, Low-Income Weatherization Assistance
• 6:00 – 6:45pm
• Kick-off rally featuring Hip Hop Caucus President, Rev. Lennox Yearwood, D. Woods & hosted by “Mr. Magnificent” Special Ed
• 7:00 – 8:00pm
• Freestyle exhibition/Celebrity Soccer Game
• Special Performances: With These Hands Mix Academy, S&A Dance & DJ Badala B.
• Special Invited Guests: Atlantic Recording Artist, Lupe Fiasco; Int. Pro Soccer Player, Kephern Fuller; and Motivational Speaker, Coach Q of the Q Foundation, Players from The Charlotte Eagles, Mark Wright ESPN Regional, just to name a few……
