The Red Pump Project

THe Red Pump Project (RPP) was created to assist in the promotion of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day that happens every year in March; however, RPP has since blossomed into its own free standing organization. Here is some basic information about the Red Pump Project:

"The Red Pump Project was created in March 2009 to spread awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls. The Red Pump represents the strength and courage of women fighting HIV/AIDS either directly or indirectly on behalf of other women and girls."

National HIV/AIDS Testing Day is June 27, 2009. Go out and get tested---Protect Yourself!

Thanks for writing about The Red Pump Project. We currently have 16 ambassadors in 14 states, and are growing by the day.

P.S. We have an event on June 20th. It's a meetup to welcome beauty blogger and Red Pump supporter, Afrobella, to Chicago. Proceeds are benefitting the Chicago Women's AIDS Project. More info at www.redpumpmeetup.eventbrite.com
