STYLE WEEK CHARLOTTE ANNOUNCES PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE
Local Boutiques, Designers, Restaurants and More Participate in the Week of Style
Charlotte, NC (April 6, 2011) – STYLE Media announced today the initial line up of shows for Style Week Charlotte’s first season in the Queen City. From April 8-16, thousands of fashion industry professionals will gather to see the city’s most established and up-and-coming designers , boutiques, restaurants and more showcase their style.
“We are tremendously excited about the event and response of they city to participate in this unprecedented week of events,” said Bridgette West, Creator of Style Week Charlotte. “The opportunity for Charlotte to be the first to produce this type of event is big for our city.”
Mayor Anthony Foxx proclaimed April 8 - 16 “Style Week Charlotte”. Working with Style Week, the City has embarked on a coordinated effort to ensure Charlotte’s Stylish culture is highlighted to residents and visitors while supporting local businesses.
Style Week Charlotte includes four signature events: Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. “Say Red Cocktails and Conversations” Presented by JSW Media Group at Bluprint Restaurant benefiting The Red Pump Project; Saturday, April 9 at 6 p.m. “Charlotte STYLE Magazine’s 25 Most Stylish People in Charlotte” Presented by Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte benefiting The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign; Sunday April 10 at 10 a.m. “A Stylish Breakfast at Tiffany’s” An Invitation Only Event for Media, Celebrities and Sponsors at Tiffany & Company benefiting the Style Foundation and the Go Red Campaign; Saturday April 16 at 6:30 p.m. “Passport for Fashion” Presented by Charlotte Seen at Reel Works, NC Music Factory benefiting A Child’s Place.
Style Week Charlotte will also include the following events: Friday, April 8 - Project Runway Casting; Saturday, April 9 - Embelish Me Online Sale, LaNore Divine Boutique Online Sale; Monday, April 11 - Charlotte’s Cultural Style Affair, Got Style?; Tuesday, April 12 - Tailored Tuesday’s My 1st Suit, Meet the Passport for Fashion Designers; Wednesday, April 13 - Taste of the Nation; Thursday, April 14 - UPTOWN Spring Fashion Crawl and Wine Tasting, Elevate Lifestyle Awards 2011, Fashion for Life, Belle Ville Boutique Girls Night Out Party, Diamond Haack Diamonds Chocolate and Wine Pairing Event; Friday April 15 - Flow By Tara Davis Customer Appreciation Day, The Roaring 20s.
